Strongest Adhesive: Best in Test 2024
To find out what the strongest adhesive is, Ultimate Handyman carried out an independent adhesive strength test comparing the bond strength of various adhesives. The test results showed Adiseal was found to be the strongest adhesive by far. In the test, Adiseal was shown to be over 3 times stronger than the next best adhesive and too strong for even the screws holding down the test rig.

What is the strongest adhesive?
Ultimate Handyman conducted independent adhesive strength tests to determine the strongest and best adhesive. In the test, each adhesive was applied between hardwood and metal surfaces, left to cure, and then subjected to pressure using a hydraulic ram to measure the adhesive bond breaking point.
Adiseal emerged as the clear best adhesive, exceeding the strength of the nearest competitor by over threefold. Remarkably, its heavy duty adhesive bond strength proved too strong for the test rig’s screws, which began to rip out due to the hydraulic ram’s pressure before the exceptional Adiseal adhesive broke. Consequently, the test on Adiseal had to be abandoned.
Results of the test
In the bond strength test between hardwood and metal, Adiseal withstood a remarkable pressure of over 3123+ psi, while all other adhesives failed at 1115 psi or lower. The chart below illustrates Adiseal’s exceptional performance in the adhesive strength test.
The video below shows the method and results of the adhesive strength test.
Strongest adhesive strength test results table

Best & strongest adhesive
Manufacturers often make bold claims about their adhesives, asserting it to be the best or strongest product available. However, only one product can genuinely hold the title of the best construction adhesive. Independent testing is crucial to assess their performance and determine which product truly stands out with strong adhesive bonds.
Adiseal vs CT1 – Which is the strongest adhesive?
Manufacturers often market their construction adhesives and sealants as the best, but it’s essential to scrutinize these claims beyond marketing hype. Some assert their product is 360% stronger without evidence. Instead of making unsupported claims, we prefer to demonstrate how Adiseal outperforms CT1 adhesive and sealant. We invite you to see the tangible benefits of Adiseal over CT1 and make an informed decision based on real-world comparisons.

Is CT1 actually 360% stronger?
Manufacturers often exaggerate their product claims, such as being “360% stronger” than competitors. It’s crucial to question the validity of these bold assertions, especially without supporting evidence, which can be dismissed as mere marketing hype.
In a previous independent adhesive strength test by Ultimate Handyman, the old formulas of CT1 and Adiseal were compared in a metal-to-metal adhesive strength test. The old formula of CT1 broke at 148 psi, while the old formula of Adiseal broke at 201 psi. This test showed that even the old formula of Adiseal outperformed CT1 in strength. The new formula of Adiseal exhibited even greater strength, breaking at 245 psi in the metal-to-metal test. Adiseal achieved an astonishing 3123+ psi in the wood-to-metal test without breaking. These results solidify Adiseal’s position as the unrivaled strongest adhesive and sealant, as proven by independent testing. In contrast, CT1’s claim of being “360% stronger” lacks manufacturer-backed evidence.
Additionally, Adiseal Ultra Clear surpasses CT1 clear sealant in clarity, maintaining transparency in water better. For test results as proof, please contact us.
Why pay more for a brand name that falls short on performance when you can choose Adiseal? We encourage you to distinguish hype from reality and make an informed decision based on proven results.
