Glue for Ceramic
CERAMIC GLUE: Strong Adhesive Bond on Ceramic & Porcelain
If you are looking to glue ceramic, Adiglue is our best glue for ceramic where the surface area is small. For larger surfaces areas, Adiseal adhesive sealant is our best adhesive to bond ceramic where the surfaces area is large. They are both also great at sticking porcelain as well as sticking ceramic.
Best adhesive for ceramic
Is it possible to bond ceramic using an adhesive? The answer is yes, if using the record breaking strongest Adiseal adhesive & sealant.
Why Adiseal is the best adhesive for ceramic
Adiseal adhesive & sealant was the strongest adhesive in an independent adhesive strength test by Ultimate Handyman.
In the independent adhesive strength test by Ultimate Handyman, Adiseal was over 3 times stronger than the nearest competitor in the wood to metal bond strength test. In fact it was so strong that the screws holding the metal sheet down started to rip out forcing the test on Adiseal to be stopped.
Strongest Adhesive Test Results
- Adiseal : 3123 + psi
- SupaBond : 1115 psi
- Tec 7 : 1016 psi
- HB42 : 942 psi
- Loctite PL Premium : 873 psi
- Gorilla Grab Adhesive : 862 psi
- Bond It PU18 : 582 psi
- Bond It Saves Nails : 411 psi
Some of the other reasons why Adiseal is the best when trying to to bond ceramic:
- Adiseal stays permanently flexible so it will absorb any vibration and allow any items to expand & contract without the adhesive becoming weak.
- Is a waterproof adhesive and waterproof sealant so it is also suitable for use outdoors or indoors. It also seals underwater & glues underwater.
- Has very high gap fill properties.
- Has high initial grab meaning temporary supports may not be required while the adhesive cures. For even more initial grab, Adiseal Hi-Grab has even higher grab than the standard product.
Adiseal will also stick ceramic to the following items
Adiseal will successfully bond ceramic to the following materials:
Best Glue on Ceramic
Adiglue is our best glue on ceramic. It’s a high-performance industrial strength glue that outperforms other glues & super glues. Adiglue provides a stronger & less brittle bond than super glues.
How is Adiglue better than super glue?
Adiglue is exceptionally strong, surpassing other glues, including super glue, due to its nearly pure cyanoacrylate composition. Unlike many super glues that contain solvents to cut costs, Adiglue maintains its purity. While super glue dries quickly but often results in brittle bonds, Adiglue’s slower curing process creates stronger and less brittle bonds. Furthermore, Adiglue has a longer shelf life, up to 18 months when the bottle is open, compared to super glue, which tends to dry out quickly as solvents evaporate. To keep the Adiglue bottle nozzle clean, use Adisolve on a tissue to remove excess glue after each use.
Super glue gel
Adiglue has a thicker gel glue formulation which results in higher gap fill than other glues. The gel glue allows it to be used where other super glues would fail. The thicker gel formulation also makes Adiglue easier to apply & less messy than other glues.
Clear glue
Adiglue is a completely clear glue and stays clear once it has cured. This is very useful when a clear glue is required like a glue for glass.
Glue strength demonstration
We’ve showcased Adiglue’s exceptional strength by bonding MDF wood blocks together with it and further attaching house bricks to the MDF and to other bricks using Adiglue. Achieving such bonds would be challenging with typical super glues.
Adiglue will bond ceramic to the following items
Adiglue will successfully bond ceramic to the following items:
- Porcelain
- Wood (porous wood like MDF require sealing first with Adiglue Activator)
- Glass
- Stone (porous stone requires sealing first with Adiglue Activator)
- Ceramic
- Rubber
- Metal
- Synthetic Materials
- Leather
- Plastic
- Concrete (once sealed with Adiglue Activator)
- Brick
- Masonry
- Mirror
- Many other items
Porous materials will require sealing first with Adiglue Activator. This will stop the material soaking up the liquid glue.
How to glue ceramic
How to glue ceramic
- Even surfaces
Making sure both surfaces are fairly even and without big gaps will provide a a better bond.
- Clean surfaces
Clean both surfaces before apply the adhesive or glue. Remove any dust, dirt, oil grease. If the surface has paint on it then the bond will only be as strong as the paint that it is stuck on. If the paint is not strong enough then it is advisable to remove the paint.
- Apply glue
Apply glue to one surface. Covering as much surface area as possible will provide a stronger bond.
- Push materials together
Firmly push both materials together.
- Temporary supports
If the items don’t hold until the glue cures then temporary supports will need to be used to hold the items in place.
Adiglue is our best glue to stick ceramic where the surface area is small. For items with a larger surface area, the Adiseal adhesive & sealant is the best product to stick ceramic. Adiseal adhesive & sealant will provide a waterproof & flexible bond. It also has higher gap fill & initial grab.
Using Adiglue to glue ceramic
To use Adiglue glue for ceramic, make sure both surfaces are thoroughly clean to get the strongest bond. Adisolve is the ideal product to remove oil, grease, tar and other stubborn deposits.
Simply apply the glue to ceramic and hold the items together until the glue starts to dry. Adiglue Activator can be used as a glue accelerator to quickly reduce the time it takes for the glue to cure.
Using Adiseal adhesive & sealant to stick ceramic
To use Adiseal adhesive to bond ceramic, make sure both surfaces are thoroughly clean to get the strongest bond. Adisolve is the ideal product to remove oil, grease, tar and other stubborn deposits.
Simply apply the adhesive to one item and firmly push to two items together. Adiseal has high grab but clamps may be required to hold the items in place until the adhesive has cured.
Glue for ceramic to metal
To glue ceramic to metal, both our Adiglue glue & Adiseal adhesive & sealant will provide a good strong bond. Adiglue is our best glue to stick ceramic to metal where the surface area is small. For items with a larger surface area, the Adiseal adhesive & sealant is the best product to stick metal to ceramic.
Using Adiglue to glue ceramic to metal
To get the strongest bond when using Adiglue to glue ceramic to metal, make sure both surfaces are thoroughly clean & free of rust. Adisolve is the ideal product to remove oil, grease, tar and other stubborn deposits.
