The strongest adhesive was easily Adiseal

Adiseal emerged as the indisputable champion, displaying astonishing strength surpassing its closest rival by over threefold. Its immense power became evident as the test rig’s screws began to tear out, and the hydraulic ram seal gave way, leading to the test’s premature termination. Adiseal proved too strong for the rig, establishing itself as the unrivaled strongest adhesive.

In terms of bond strength between hardwood and metal, Adiseal withstood over 3123+ psi, while all other products faltered at 1115 psi or lower. The chart below unequivocally highlights Adiseal’s remarkable strength, setting it apart as the best adhesive.

CT1 sealant adhesive vs Adiseal

Manufacturers often make grand claims about their construction adhesive and sealant, touting them as the top product in the market. However, it is essential to question whether these claims align with reality or if they are merely marketing hype. Instead of simply asserting that Adiseal is superior to CT1 sealant adhesive, we believe in substantiating our claim by demonstrating how Adiseal surpasses CT1 adhesive and sealant. We invite you to witness firsthand the tangible advantages of Adiseal over CT1 adhesive sealant and let the results speak for themselves.

  • Adiseal adhesive has stronger grab than CT1 adhesive.
  • Adiseal sealant has stronger mould resistance than CT1 sealant.
  • Clear Adiseal sealant stays clear in water whereas CT1 clear sealant turns white in water.
  • Adiseal has been shown to be the strongest adhesive in an independent adhesive strength test.

Is CT1 really 360% stronger?

Manufacturers frequently make exaggerated claims, like being “360% stronger” than competitors, but it’s essential to question the validity of these assertions. Without supporting evidence, such claims are merely marketing hype.

In an independent adhesive strength test by Ultimate Handyman, Adiseal emerged as the record-breaking strongest adhesive. The test compared the old formulas of CT1 and Adiseal in a metal-to-metal strength test. The results showed the old Adiseal formula breaking at 201 psi, outperforming the old CT1 formula at 148 psi. Adiseal’s new formula achieved even greater strength at 245 psi in the same test and an astonishing 3123+ psi in the wood-to-metal test without breaking. These results firmly establish Adiseal as the unrivaled strongest adhesive and sealant, as confirmed by independent testing. In contrast, the claim of CT1 being “360% stronger” lacks any manufacturer-backed nor independent evidence.

In addition to its exceptional strength, Adiseal Ultra Clear surpasses CT1 clear sealant in terms of clarity. It maintains its transparency in water better than CT1 clear sealant and adhesive. If you require proof of actual test results, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Why spend extra on a brand that doesn’t perform as well as Adiseal. We say separate hype from reality.

What is the best sealant?

In our quest to find the best construction sealant, we conducted tests, including a mould resistance assessment. New plastic cups were filled halfway with tap water, applied various sealants, and covered each cup, subjecting them to identical conditions for fairness. Among all the sealants tested, Adiseal clearly stood out as the winner with the highest mould resistance, as shown in the accompanying image.

Anti mould sealant and mould resistant sealant. Adiseal has stronger mould resistance than the competitor sealant claiming to be the number 1 sealant and adhesive.

Mould resistance test result

Even after a continuous 90-day submersion in tap water, both the Adiseal sealant and the water in its cup remained remarkably clear. In contrast, one competitor’s product, despite claiming to be the top adhesive and sealant at a higher price, fell short in the mould resistance test.

Are you looking for a clear sealant?

Adiseal Ultra clear sealant & adhesive is truly clear, setting it apart from other construction sealants. Unlike cheaper silicone sealants that may appear cloudy or white when applied, Adiseal maintains its promised clarity.

Adiseal has strongest colour retention

Clear sealant in water comparison. Adiseal has stayed the clearest in water whereas the competitor claiming to be the best sealant and adhesive has turned white.

Adiseal construction sealant excels in both mould resistance and remarkable colour retention, even when submerged underwater. In contrast, a pricier competitor product, claiming to be the top construction adhesive and sealant, has visibly turned white when exposed to water, as shown in the image above.

Colour retention test

For the colour retention test, various clear sealants and adhesives from different manufacturers were used. Each product was carefully applied in pristine plastic cups, filled halfway with water, securely covered, and placed under identical conditions.

Adiseal top in colour retention test

Adiseal was the only sealant among those tested that retained its clarity both in and above the water. In contrast, the clear product from the competing brand, which claimed to be the leading construction adhesive and sealant, performed the worst. It turned completely white, even the portion exposed to the air.

Why pay more for a brand name when it’s the performance that actually matters? We say separate hype from reality.

Adiseal Applications and Benefits

This section will look at what materials & items Adiseal will bond & seal:

Seals: Baths, showers, gutters, drains, sinks, kitchens, vehicles, boats, felt roofs & many other applications.

Benefits of Adiseal include:

Adiseal typically cures in 24 – 48 hours, with longer curing times in colder temperatures.

Details of benefits

Works in dry, wet & underwater

Adiseal is a versatile adhesive that works in wet, damp, dry, and underwater conditions, allowing for immediate sealing of leaking gutters in any weather. With Adiseal, repairs can be made and tested right away, ensuring a durable and effective waterproof seal. This waterproof adhesive eliminates the need to remove water before bonding materials, making Adiseal the top choice for gutter sealing and various applications.

Waterproof adhesive

Adiseal stands out as the ultimate waterproof adhesive, offering exceptional strength and reliability. It excels in various applications that demand a waterproof bond, ensuring a durable and long-lasting result.

Tip: In areas prone to water runoff, apply thin vertical strips of waterproof adhesive. This approach allows water to flow down between the adhesive strips, preventing accumulation on the surface.

Instant Power Grab

Adiseal offers high initial grab even on wet surfaces and underwater. For an even quicker grab, consider Adiseal Hi-Grab adhesive, providing exceptional instant power grab and bond strength.

Adiseal colours offer superior initial grab and bond strength compared to Adiseal Ultra Clear. For the best results when using Adiseal as an adhesive, it’s recommended to choose Adiseal colours.

Gap Filling Adhesive

Adiseal is ideal for bonding uneven surfaces and filling gaps, especially on rough or irregular surfaces like natural stone. Unlike contact adhesives, Adiseal creates a secure and robust bond across the entire surface, preventing slumping even in overhead applications. This unique capability sets it apart from products that lack high gap-filling properties.

Over Paintable

Adiseal comes in various colours like white, black, grey, brown, and ultra clear, and can also be custom-made in any RAL colour to meet specific requirements. It’s generally paint-friendly, but it’s wise to test solvent and oil-based paints for compatibility. Lightly sanding the surface can improve paint adhesion. For the best results, it’s recommended to wait for Adiseal to fully cure, typically around 48 hours, before painting over it.

Tip: Customize Adiseal Ultra Clear by blending it with your chosen paint color, achieving the exact shade you need for your adhesive and sealant. Apply the custom-colored Adiseal with a piping bag, tube, or cartridge to your project.

Flexible Adhesive

Adiseal is a top choice for a highly flexible adhesive that remains strong and resilient. Its flexibility accommodates temperature and moisture changes and vibrations without becoming brittle. Unlike rigid adhesives, Adiseal maintains its strength and durability over time, creating long-lasting, reliable bonds that are less likely to fail.

Virtually Odourless

Adiseal distinguishes itself from other products as it is solvent and isocyanate-free. Unlike solvent-based options, Adiseal doesn’t release a strong, harsh odour during use, eliminating the need for well-ventilated areas. Its safe and nearly odourless formula offers a user-friendly experience.

Solvent Free

Adhesives and sealants containing solvents can harm materials, like polystyrene used for insulation and bath panels, causing them to melt. Adiseal, being solvent-free, is non-aggressive and the ideal choice for bonding polystyrene.

Mirror backing is also easily damaged by solvents. For secure mirror applications, Adiseal is the strongest product. Its solvent-free formulation ensures a reliable bond on mirrors without risking damage to the mirror.

No Shrinkage or Cracking

Adiseal stands out in its category as a solvent-free solution, preventing issues like shrinkage and cracking. Many adhesives and sealants use solvents to reduce production costs, which can dilute the active product in the cartridge. As solvents evaporate, these products tend to shrink and crack over time. Adiseal’s solvent-free formula maintains a higher concentration of active product, preventing shrinkage and cracking during application. Furthermore, it’s designed to maintain permanent flexibility, ensuring a long-lasting, non-brittle bond.

Problem of using cheap products

Low-quality silicone sealants can peel before curing due to solvent-induced shrinkage. Likewise, cheap adhesives with solvents lead to weaker bonds, unlike Adiseal.

Adiseal, being solvent-free, offers a significantly stronger and durable bond. Choosing cheaper options can become more costly, requiring removal and replacement when they fail.

EC1 Plus certified

Adiseal is certified EC1 Plus meaning it has the lowest certified VOC (volatile organic compound) for adhesives & sealants.

ISEGA Certified

Adiseal is ISEGA certified for safe use in food preparation areas, making it the ideal kitchen sealant.

Suitable for interior & exterior use

Adiseal is a versatile high-performance product suitable for interior and exterior applications. Whether used indoors or as a outdoor sealant, it maintains exceptional waterproofing.

When used on items like roof felt, Adiseal not only bonds strongly but also seals the roof, offering both secure adhesion and moisture protection.

Applications

Industrial adhesive sealant

Some of the industrial applications Adiseal has been successfully used is to:

  • Bond industrial freezer panels where other products failed.
  • Bond metal bearings to concrete bridges.
  • Seal & bond a variety of applications on boats.
  • Seal in warehouse used for a food manufacturing production line.
  • Maintenance of University halls of residence.

Small items

For items that have a small surface area, the Adiglue glue product might be more suitable but it will provide a more brittle bond than Adiseal.

Electrical insulation sealant

Standard sealants are not suitable for use as electrical insulation gel. Electrical waterproof gel is specially designed to offer high-voltage insulation. Unlike regular sealants, it stays flexible and re-enterable, facilitating access to electrical connections when necessary. Choosing the right gel designed for electrical applications is vital for safety and performance.

How to use Adiseal adhesive and sealant

How to use Adiseal adhesive and sealant

  1. Prepare surface material

To achieve a strong bond or seal, clean the surfaces by removing dirt, oil, grease, paint, and dust. On materials such as concrete, using a fine brush like a paintbrush can remove dust. Adisolve helps remove oil, grease, tar, chewing gum, and ensuring a clean surface.

  2. Open cartridge

Cut open the the top part of the tube. Screw on the nozzle. Cut the nozzle to the correct size if necessary.

  3. Apply the product

When using Adiseal as an adhesive, apply it to one surface, covering as much area as possible for a stronger bond, then firmly press the materials together. Use temporary supports if needed until the adhesive cures. For sealing with Adiseal, fill the gap as much as possible by pushing the product into the gap to achieve a better seal.

  4. Wait for it to cure

Adiseal can take 24 to 48 hours to fully cure.

  5. Storage after use

After using, leave about 1cm worth of product out of the nozzle, which will cure and create a seal at the top. Store upright in a dry place. Under good conditions, you can use an opened Adiseal cartridge for up to 3 months after initial use. To reuse, remove the cured top part. If it has cured further down the nozzle, trim the nozzle or, in some cases, unscrew it to access the uncured portion. A new nozzle may be needed in this scenario.
