Details of benefits
Works in dry, wet & underwater
Adiseal can seal in dry, wet, and underwater conditions, making it a go-to choice for quick sealing needs, like fixing a leaking gutter. Unlike other products, like grey silicone, Adiseal doesn’t need a dry surface, making it perfect for emergency repairs.
Waterproof
Adiseal excels in applications where other products like grey silicone may fail. Its waterproof nature gives it the advantage of immediate seal testing upon application. As a grey roof sealant, Adiseal seals instantly, even in the rain. Detection of rainwater infiltrating the roof allows for swift repairs and stopping leaks immediately.
Solvent Free
Adiseal, a solvent-free sealant adhesive, enhances safety for delicate materials like polystyrene that may be sensitive to solvents. This is particularly important when dealing with applications like bath panels, which can be susceptible to damage from grey bath sealants containing solvents. With Adiseal, you can confidently use it in bathrooms without risking the integrity of sensitive materials like polystyrene.
No Shrinkage or Cracking
Unlike solvent-based silicone sealants, Adiseal does not suffer from the issue of shrinking. Solvent-based products require the solvents to evaporate in order for the adhesive or sealant to dry, leading to shrinkage. This shrinkage can result in the sealant pulling away from the surface, ultimately creating a weaker seal. However, with Adiseal, this concern is effectively eliminated, making it an excellent choice for various applications, including serving as a reliable gutter sealant.
EC1 Plus certified
Adiseal stands out by being VOC-free and EC1 Plus certified for excellent indoor air quality standards. By selecting Adiseal, you not only benefit from its superior sealing and adhesive qualities but also contribute to a safer and healthier environment.
ISEGA certified
Adiseal’s ISEGA certification ensures its suitability for use in food preparation areas, making it an ideal choice for a grey kitchen sealant. This certification guarantees safety for environments where food is handled and prepared.
Interior & exterior use
Adiseal is exceptionally versatile, perfect for both interior and exterior use. It outperforms dedicated products, making it a superior solution for diverse sealing needs. Whether for a grey floor or roof sealant, Adiseal excels, offering consistent results in any application.
How to use a grey sealant
How to use a grey sealant
- Surface Preparation
Ensure that the surface to be sealed is clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and other contaminants. Use a suitable cleaner or solvent, if necessary, to achieve a clean surface.
- Cut the Nozzle
Cut the nozzle of the sealant. The size of the nozzle opening should correspond to the width of the joint or gap you intend to fill.
- Apply the Sealant
Slowly and steadily move the sealant gun along the joint or gap, applying a continuous bead of sealant.
- Tooling and Smoothing
Once the sealant has been applied, use a suitable tool such as a caulking to shape the sealant. This helps to achieve a neat and professional finish.
- Clean Up
Immediately clean any excess sealant or smudges with a damp cloth or solvent according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Be sure to remove any sealant from tools and equipment before it hardens.
- Curing Time
Allow the sealant to cure according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Curing times can vary, so it’s essential to follow the recommended waiting period before subjecting the sealant to any stress or contact with water.
Tip: To store Adiseal once opened, leave about 1cm worth of product out of the nozzle and store the tube upright in a cool dry place. Adiseal requires moisture for it to cure. The exposed part out of the nozzle will cure creating a cap. To re-use Adiseal, pull the cured part out or cut the nozzle until the uncured part is reached.
