BEST GLUE for Extra Strong Bonds
If you are looking for a strong glue to stick an item, Adiglue is our best glue for many different bonding applications. It provides a strong glue bond on many different materials. Adiglue is our best all purpose glue. It is more suitable for bonding applications where you have a small surface area, whereas for bonding items to larger surface areas, the Adiseal adhesive sealant is the better product to use.

What is the best glue?
Adiglue is a high-performance industrial strength glue that outperforms other super glue products. It is an all purpose glue that provides a stronger and less brittle bond compared to other gluing products. It also has a thicker gel formulation, allowing for higher gap fill and greater initial grab compared to other products.
How is Adiglue better than other products?
Adiglue outperforms other gluing products and is stronger than super glue because Adiglue is almost 100% pure cyanoacrylate and solvent free. To make super glues cheaper to manufacture, most of these other products are filled with solvents. This makes these other products dry almost in an instant but also produce a weaker brittle bond.
Another problem with solvent based products is when the solvents evaporate away, the product quickly dries up in the bottle. As Adiglue is solvent free and as long as the bottle nozzle is kept clean, Adiglue will not dry up in the bottle for 18 months even if the bottle is kept open.
Tip: After using Adiglue, use Adisolve sprayed on a tissue to wipe away any excess Adiglue from the bottle nozzle.
As Adiglue is not filled up with solvents, it cures quickly but slightly slower than other super glues. This results in a stronger glue bond that is also less brittle than other products.
Super glue gel
Adiglue has a thicker gel formulation which results in higher gap fill than other products. The gel allows it to be used where other products would fail. The thicker gel formulation also makes Adiglue easier to apply and less messy than other products. Runnier products are also more likely to soak into porous materials, resulting a weaker bonds.
Clear glue
Adiglue is a completely clear glue and stays clear once it has cured. This is very useful when a clear glue is required like a glue for glass.
Strength demonstration
To demonstrate just how strong Adiglue is compared to other products, we have stuck together some MDF wood blocks together with Adiglue. We have then stuck some house bricks to the MDF and also to other bricks with Adiglue. See the video below of the final results of Adiglue bonding brick and MDF. This is not be possible to do with other products.
The image below shows our demonstration we carried out bonding house brick and MDF together with Adiglue. We used Adiglue Activator to seal the porous brick and MDF edges first before applying Adiglue.
What materials does Adiglue bond?
Adiglue will successfully bond:
- Wood (porous wood like MDF require sealing first with Adiglue Activator)
- Glass
- Stone (porous stone requires sealing first with Adiglue Activator)
- Ceramic
- Rubber
- Metal
- Synthetic Materials
- Leather
- Plastic
- Concrete (once sealed with Adiglue Activator)
- Mirror
- Brick
- Stone
- Granite
- Marble
- Slate
- Many other items
Porous materials will require sealing first with Adiglue Activator. This will stop the material soaking up the liquid Adiglue.
How strong is Adiglue
Adiglue is one of the strongest glues available. The strength of Adiglue will depend on the materials it is being used to bond. On some items, the strength of Adiglue is actually stronger than the material itself.
Adiglue strength example
In the example below we have sealed the edge of the MDF wood blocks using the Adiglue Activator then applied the Adiglue to stick the 2 MDF wood blocks together. Once it had dried, we tried to break the bond between the 2 block by stamping on it.
As you can see in the image above, the MDF wood has broken before the Adiglue bond, showing the strong glue bond is stronger than the MDF wood substrate itself.
Adiglue vs CT1 Superfast Plus glue
Adiglue is better than CT1 Superfast Plus glue. It would be very easy for any manufacturer to claim that their product is better than a competitor. We can prove Adiglue is better than CT1 Superfast Plus. Please contact us and we’ll show you how it’s better.
What is the Adiglue super glue activator?
Adiglue Activator is a super glue activator and accelerator with 2 main uses. The main use for the activator is to reduce the time it takes for the super glue to cure on application. The second use for Adiglue Activator is to seal porous materials like MDF to stop the porous material soaking up the liquid gluing product. If a porous material is allowed to soak up the liquid product, it will not provide a strong bond.
How to use Adiglue Activator to seal
To seal a porous material, simply spray the Adiglue Activator thoroughly on the porous material and wait a few minutes before applying the glue.
To speed up the cure time, simply spray the Adiglue Activator onto the product, especially around the edges.
Strong glue for wood
Adiglue is a very strong glue for wood. It will provide a strong glue bond between wood and many other materials. It works on both softwood, hardwood and man made wood sheets like MDF or chipboard.
Using Adiglue on most natural wood is normally suitable without sealing the wood, unless the wood is porous. If the wood is porous then you can seal it with Adiglue Activator.
It is better to use Adiseal adhesive & sealant when the surface are of the items are larger. Adiseal adhesive and sealant also eliminates the problem of having to seal porous materials. See our post for more information on how to bond wood to metal.
How to use Adiglue glue for wood
When using Adiglue to stick wood to an item, make sure the surface of the wood and item being glued together closely match. If there are any big gaps, then cut, file or sand down the surface so that they closely match.
To get a good strong bond between the wood and other material, making sure both surfaces are thoroughly clean will provide a good, strong and long-lasting bond. Remove any dust, grease, oil, paint or any other stubborn deposit before applying the product. Adisolve is ideal at cleaning a surface and removing oil, grease, tar, dirt or other stubborn deposits.
Apply the glue to one surface then push the items together holding them firmly together for a few minutes while the product dries. Adiglue Activator may be used as an accelerator to speed up the drying time.
Best glue for plastic
Adiglue is our best glue for plastic. It will provide a strong, long-lasting bond on most plastics including PVC and hard plastic.
For bonding applications with small surface areas use Adiglue, but it is better to use Adiseal adhesive & sealant when the surface areas are large.
How to use Adiglue glue on plastic
To get a good strong bond between plastic and other materials, making sure both surfaces are thoroughly clean will provide a good, strong and long-lasting bond. Remove any dust, grease, oil, wax, paint or any other stubborn deposit before applying the glue. Adisolve is ideal at cleaning a surface and removing oil, grease, wax, tar, dirt or other stubborn deposits. Lightly scratching the plastic before applying the product can help increase adhesion strength.
Apply the glue to one surface then push the items together holding them firmly together for a few minutes while the glue dries. Adiglue Activator may be used as an accelerator to speed up the drying time.
Strong glue for metal
Adiglue is our best glue for metal when the surface areas of the items being stuck together are small. It will provide a strong glue bond when it’s being used to bond metal to metal or metal to other materials. It is suitable at bonding most metals including steel, copper, aluminium, brass and other solid metals.
To demonstrate the strength of Adiglue, we have successfully bonded a steel handle onto a concrete slab weighing 18Kg. To do this we:
- Removed any powder coating that was on the bottom of the handle that the glue needed to be applied to.
- Cleaned the bottom of the handle using Adisolve spray.
- Brushed the concrete slab to make sure any dust was thoroughly removed.
- As the concrete slab is a porous material, Adiglue Activator was used to seal the places where the glue was applied.
- Adiglue was applied to the concrete slab then the handle was pushed onto the concrete slab.
- Adiglue Activator was then used as an accelerator to speed up the curing time for the glue.
Although Adiglue has provided a strong bond between metal and concrete, for this application we would recommend using Adiseal adhesive and sealant instead as it will provide a stronger and less brittle bond. See the how to bond metal page or adhesive on concrete page for more details on Adiseal.

Adiglue Activator may be used as an accelerator to speed up the drying time. To make sure the glue stays completely clear once cured, it is recommended the accelerator is not used or used very lightly.
Glue for leather
Adiglue will provide a stronger bond on leather than most other super glues. Adiglue is almost 100% pure cyanoacrylate glue and not filled with solvents. As Adiglue is not filled with solvents, it results in a stronger less brittle bond.
The Adiglue Activator should be used on porous materials to seal the material before applying the glue.
Glue for shoes
Adiglue will provide a strong bond when used to repair shoes. Making sure the surfaces the glue will be applied to are thoroughly clean, will create a strong glue bond.
Glue for rubber
Rubber is a material that can be difficult to bond with most glues. Adiglue will provide a very strong bond on rubber. In fact Adiglue will fuse rubber when it’s used to stick rubber to rubber.
Glue for ceramic
Adiglue will provide a very strong bond when used as a glue for ceramic. It will also provide a less brittle bond than other products. Adiglue dries completely clear and does not dry up in the bottle. As Adiglue has a thicker gel formulation, it is easier to work with and less runny.
Glue for stone
Adiglue will also stick stone provided it is sealed first with products like Adiglue Activator. It is recommended to use the Adiseal adhesive and sealant for a stronger more flexible bond on stone.
Super glue with activator
Adiglue and Adiglue Activator are available separately. Some manufacturers sell the super glue with activator in one packet. This may increase the cost for people who do not require the super glue with activator in one. For this reason our Adiglue and Adiglue Activator are available separately.

Frequently asked questions about best glue
Adiglue is almost 100% pure glue whereas other products are filled solvents to make them cheaper to manufacture. This results in Adiglue creating a stronger and less brittle bond than super glue. It also does not dry up in the bottle for 18 months. Adiglue is also easier to use easier to use and less messy.
We recommend Adiglue is used with the Adiglue Activator as an accelerator to speed up the drying time of the glue.
Unlike other super glues, Adiglue is not filled up with solvents. This means Adiglue will not dry up in the bottle for 18 months even if it’s left open.
Adiglue is our best glue. It provides a stronger bond than superglue. The reason for this is because Adiglue does not contain solvents. It dries slightly slower than superglue but provide a more stronger and durable bond.
